ioannis dimitrousis is a london based designer who has been making some serious moves since graduating from the london college of fashion in 2005. his collections have managed a unique evolution from menswear (his chosen path of study) to unisex pieces to womenswear. each piece is a unique blend of textures, patterns and cuts. artistic, yet wearable. more info at: www.ioannisdimitrousis.com.

DENVER SHOW AND TELL PROJECT

How it works:
Every month a new set of "guidelines" will be posted. Local bands/musicians/noise makers/friends have that month to make up a song within those guidelines (i.e. a theme to follow, a song to cover, a style to work in, etc), once everyone is done (writing/recording), all of the songs will be posted and shared with everyone! The purpose of this project is, above all, to have fun. Or, if you're someone who is stuck in a music-making rut, or can never finish what you start, this project could act as temporary inspiration. It could be a push for you to try something new you've never done before. Lastly, this project allows not only the music-makers who participate, but the community as well, to listen to the different takes and creative ideas everyone can have even when (or especially when) using the same prompt. There is no right or wrong way to make up a song, so let's do this!

The whimsical, wild and slight seizure inducing world of Casette Playa headed by designer Carrie Munden has just teamed up with Nike for a unique and interactive installation in the Nike Sportswear store in London. Entitled "Split", the installation was inspired by the Nike Split Windrunner. If you want to know how kids can get so fucked in the head growing up in southern california, you gotta know about Abe Vigoda. Chino is the home of this sort of No Wavey sort of Pop oriented sort of twisted punked 4 piece. You can see it in the way they pound the living shit out of the instruments they play, and you can see it in the way they talk about things they are interested in, these kids are fucked, but in a good way. Fucked in the way that they can make a good record and play really good shows above all odds, like having terminal cancer and mental illness. Juan will kiss you if you ask and they are HUGE in England.

their new album skeleton is really really good. reverb punk pop tropics on edge or something. out on post present medium (dean spunt from no age's label). sounds excellent on vinyl.
